Notion Lagree Team

Notion began as a vision created by Kat, an athlete and physical therapist who wanted a training experience that built real strength, respected recovery, and had purpose behind every movement. After a major life shift in Tucson, she decided to return home to Kansas City to build a Lagree studio centered on intention, community, and resilience. With the help of her sister, business partner, and a small creative team, the brand took shape and eventually found its home in Lee's Summit. The studio is now in its final buildout phase, supported by a growing community, a strong instructor team, and a clear mission to create a space where anyone can grow, connect, and train with purpose.

Hi! I’m Kat,  the heart behind Notion Lagree Studio.
I’m both an athlete and a physical therapist, but more than anything, I’m someone who believes in movement as a pathway to purpose.

The idea for Notion sparked during a moment of burnout and inspiration. I didn’t want just another workout. I craved something deeper—something that challenged the body, respected recovery, and built real strength from the inside out. So I teamed up with my business partner, a fellow athlete and wellness junkie, and together we began to chase that vision.

From that passion and partnership, Notion was born - out of sweat, science, and soul.

This isn’t just a fitness studio. It’s a reflection of everything we believe in: intentional movement, community, and a whole new way to experience Lagree.

Our Roots

The very first seeds of Notion were planted two years ago while I was living in Tucson, Arizona. Life was shifting in big and unexpected ways. In the midst of that change, my partner and I faced a life-altering moment—one that shook us deeply, but also brought us clarity. Out of that experience, Notion began to take shape.

What started as a simple idea quickly became something much more: a purpose-driven brand built on resilience, vision, and heart. At first, I searched for the perfect studio space in Tucson, but ultimately, we knew we needed to come “home.” That’s when we made the decision to return to Kansas City - a place that shaped us and one we knew deserved a studio like this.

Building Notion

That choice to come home grounded me. It gave me the space to breathe life into this idea and build it with intention. From the start, I developed the brand alongside my sister, my business partner, and a few creative minds who helped shape every detail. We landed on the name NOTION because it felt bold, intentional, and full of purpose; exactly how we wanted people to feel inside our studio.

Soon after, we found our dream location at Summit Fair in Lee’s Summit, ran into a few speed bumps along the way but signed the lease, and finally dove headfirst into construction. And now, here we are, in the final stretch of our buildout.

What’s Happening Now

Each day we get a little closer to opening our doors. We’re building our brand presence through social media, local networking, press outreach, and partnerships, and it’s all starting to come together. We’re beyond proud to be training an incredible team of instructors and working with top-tier vendors to bring the vision to life.

Every detail of this space is designed to make you feel strong, grounded, and inspired. Every detail has purpose and intention.
